P.A.L. + Injectable Oxygen: the simplest way to transhumanism

As you might guess from the page title here, I believe that the simplest route to utilizing any technologies to augment the human body–the core belief of Transhumanism (defined below)–is to employ the two most basic methods of alternatively oxygenating the body* toward the end of exploring consciousness and then proceeding from there. No, I’m not talking robot-human hybrids like Robocop or freakish, unrecognizable alien mutants. Altered states, especially as revealed by the likes of Edgar Cayce, can apparently let us pick and choose viable, normal, understandable methods to keep us healthy, extend our lives and let us know our place in the universe, sans all the mythological gobbledygook.

The first couple of lines from the Wikipedia entry on Transhumanism should both inform and suffice to explain the whys of how I think that this type of technological application may be the key. From Humanity+, the allied organization: “A particular concern is the equal access to human enhancement technologies across classes and borders.” The democratization of science. Perhaps you may agree.

Transhumanism (abbreviated as H+ or h+) is an international and intellectual movement that aims to transform the human condition by developing and making widely available sophisticated technologies to greatly enhance human intellectual, physical, and psychological capacities. Transhumanist thinkers study the potential benefits and dangers of emerging technologies that could overcome fundamental human limitations, as well as the ethics of using such technologies.”
